Requiem Club Relaunch

One of many clubs, a specific music club known as rock club, also goes by the Requiem, and they have officially relaunched their club and encourages students to come check it out! Requiem is a place where students can share their creativity and passion for music.

It allows students who don’t wanna take a music class but still be involved with music, students are allowed to play any instrument they desire, all while having fun and making something new. Requiem is a club where everyone shares similar goals, and has a safe community that encourages students to share their opinions and play freely without judgement.

Newcomers and returners were interviewed asking their opinions on the relaunching of Requiem and how they felt about it. Issac Aguado, a returning member of Requiem shared his perspective on how the club reflects student impact by stating, “I mean like I stated before of course it's to express themselves, but I feel like the idea of a club and where anyone make any music even no matter the starting point is such a pivotal thing to create community.”

A newcomer called William Badillo got a chance to see how the club runs things and was interviewed on his opinion about how different Requiem is apart from other clubs, and he explained, “I feel like what makes it so different is because although there's multiple art clubs like physical art, musical art which we're doing, I feel like the fact that the people here are so great it's just easier to just easily be able to contribute and make even greater stuff compared to other clubs.”

Many positive remarks were made and more students are slowly starting to recognize the efforts this club is putting in, but still a student returner called Damian Loredo was interviewed and he gave insight on how important this club reflects to the whole world, not just in Estancia, he said, “There's something my teacher told me like without the arts, without music, life would be really boring. I think it would suck, so I like to think that with music it let's just be who we are. With the arts it lets us be who we are, it just lets us be us.” Requiem isn’t just a musical club, it's a safe space where students can let their musical talents and creativity flourish.
